The Dorm Connection

Eighty-eight percent of Ladela’s senior students are boarders.  Our residential model makes dorms a melting pot of cultures, ages, interests and identities. Students exchange knowledge, become friends and build support systems with students completely different from themselves.

Our focus on your childs individual growth is what makes the Ladela’s residential program outstanding. Elected seniors can show their leadership skills as dorm prefects. They serve as role models with the goal of making dorms an inclusive place for all students. Additional responsibilities include helping with check-in, conducting room inspections, monitoring living areas and study hall, which runs from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Matrons and patrons who serve as dorm parents live in residences attached to student housing. At a moment’s notice, students can reach out to dorm heads for personal and academic guidance, university advising or for a quick chat. Over time, our students and dorm heads create trusting bonds that allow students to express themselves academically, emotionally and creatively.
